US spot Bitcoin ETF flows (2 charts)

Daily US spot ETF net flows

11 issuers · Daily · USD millions · Farside

Each green bar is a net-inflow trading day across all eleven US spot Bitcoin ETFs; each red bar is a net-outflow day. The cleanest single read on US institutional Bitcoin demand at the daily tactical horizon.

Cumulative spot ETF flow

Running total · Allocator-decision signal · Tens of USD billions

Running sum of the daily aggregate flow since launch. The slow-moving institutional positioning gauge. Has spent the majority of the post-launch period within 10 percent of all-time-high - sustained net buyer behaviour from the institutional cohort.

IBIT + issuer detail (2 charts)

IBIT vs FBTC vs GBTC

3 issuers · Cumulative · Inter-issuer rotation

The largest intra-product asset rotation in ETF history visualised: IBIT accumulating new money, FBTC steady second-place, GBTC bleeding fee-sensitive holders to the lower-cost wrappers. IBIT-vs-GBTC swing exceeds USD 80B.

BlackRock IBIT AUM trajectory

Monthly · USD billions + BTC held · Fastest ETF ever to $100B

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust AUM and BTC-held trajectory since launch. The fastest ETF in history to USD 100B AUM. Single largest non-corporate-treasury Bitcoin holder on earth.

Australian-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs (1 chart)

Australian-listed BTC ETFs

EBTC + VBTC + IBTC + BT2K · Monthly · AUD millions

Stacked monthly AUM across the four AU-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs: Global X EBTC (Cboe AU, 2022), Monochrome IBTC (Cboe AU, 2024), VanEck VBTC (ASX, 2024), DigitalX BT2K (ASX, 2024). Includes fee, custodian, and SMSF-context framing.

The AU-investor framework

Use the five spot ETF charts in this order for institutional-demand context on any Bitcoin AUD allocation decision:

  1. Daily US ETF flows. Always start here. Sustained inflow runs of 5-10 trading days are tactical bull-signal. Outflow clusters of 4+ days mark short-term capitulation. The tactical horizon.
  2. Cumulative US ETF flow. The trend-level read. New-high cumulative = the institutional cohort is still net-additive. Drawdowns from peak signal model-portfolio rotation or macro de-risking.
  3. IBIT vs FBTC vs GBTC. Decomposes the aggregate into the three drivers. GBTC outflow decelerating = the legacy-holder rotation is exhausting. IBIT steepening = new model-portfolio adoptions.
  4. IBIT AUM trajectory. The dominant issuer's growth curve. AUM growth = BTC held growth + BTC price move. The cleanest single visualisation of BlackRock's institutional distribution muscle in action.
  5. Australian-listed BTC ETFs. The local AUD-allocator signal. Much smaller absolute scale than US but directly relevant for SMSF trustees and AUD-resident brokerage-only allocations.

For the structural-horizon institutional bid (corporate + government BTC treasuries), see the Bitcoin Treasury Charts hub. Treasury accumulation is the slower-moving permanent-supply-removal signal that complements the daily ETF flow data.

Bitcoin Treasury Charts →

2 charts · Corporate + government · Multi-year horizon

The MSTR cumulative BTC accumulation curve since August 2020, and the top-25 corporate / government BTC treasury leaderboard. Permanent supply removal from circulating market; multi-year demand stickiness that complements daily ETF flow data.

Methodology

All charts run on a static-first architecture. Comprehensive seed data ships with the site so charts render even if every upstream source is unreachable. On every site build the fetch pipeline best-effort-scrapes Farside Investors (daily ETF flow data) and merges the most recent rows into the seed. All charts include CBBI-style zoom (window-dependent: 1M to ALL), fullscreen view, and hover tooltips. Source code on GitHub.
